These Times

These Times, birthed in 2016, fledged in 2024, a rock and roll gypsy's warning. The soundtrack of these times. Jonathan Segel of Camper Van Beethoven on violin conjures the essence of Nero while Rome is burning. Victor Krummenacher, also of CVB delivers thick and ominous Clash-esque bass riffs, balancing surgical precision of metal drummer Kyle Mayer of September Mourning. Standing on the shoulders of giants The Stifftones deliver their most compelling offering to date. There are horns, helicopters, sirens, and more. Are you feeling frightened yet? Good. Slap on a pair of headphones and enjoy the ride.

About

A Rock n Roll Devival

We are The Stifftones. We are a traveling bards.

If Fleetwood Mac and The Rolling Stones had a love child, they may be called the Mac Stones. We call ourselves The Stifftones. Midwest meets Bakersfield country, Inland Empire inspired Punk, East Coast cheese, and a whole lot of Rock and Roll all wrapped in magic.

We are music.

A real rock n roll devival.

A Rock & Roll Courtship

Since 2011 we have been best friends, lovers, enemies, frenemies, friends with benefits, boyfriend, girlfriend, and goonie adventurer to each other.   In 2018 we became husband and wife.  In 2019 we became band mates, officially forming The Stifftones.  In 2020 we became hearse mates, moving into our beloved revolutionary rock and roll queen, Tania, our 1996 Cadillac hearse.  We have traveled over 100,000 miles performing hundreds of shows in almost as many towns.

Long live the rock and roll devival circus.

One love.

Home is where the hearse is

We are on the rock and roll devival circus journey of a lifetime.  Have hearse, will travel.  Have heart, will sing.  Have spirit, will dream.  One love.

Deep thoughts by Rachel Stief

**trigger warning:  Trying to articulate a thought into a conveyable word structure is difficult.  I have a vast vocabulary and comprehension of the English language, but it is my second language.  My first language is thought and emotions.  If reading my ramblings with poor grammar, punctuation, and spelling is difficult for you, please don't read them.  I'm not a great speaker either, but we can discuss anything you wish when we are together.  Poke my brain at your own risk.  HA!
